London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week is a clothing trade show that attracts over 5,000 press and buyers every year in the United Kingdom. It’s held every February and September, the same as the other "Big 4" fashion weeks (New York, Milan, and Paris). It’s organized by the British Fashion Council for the London Development Agency with help from the Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills. Founded in 1983, today the event takes in an estimate of orders between £40 million to £100 million.

London Fashion Week – History

The location typically takes place at 180 Strand, the British Fashion Council's own show space or around central London. LFW’s most memorable moments include being the first of the Big Four to broadcast the collections live on the internet. This happened in Spring 2010 at the Somerset House. Additionally, they introduced London Collections: Men in Summer 2012, and organized the London Fashion Week Festival, formerly known as London Fashion Weekend. Well-known brands that show at LFW include Burberry, Topshop Unique as well as Erdem. Discover London Fashion Week designs on this page.
